The Space Shuttle 'Endeavour' launched at 11.03 GMT and 18 min later could be seen blazing across Southern Irish skies with the recently jettisoned external fuel tank following.
Thank you for sharing that video of the separation of the shuttle from the External Tank. Never seen pictures of it from the ground before, and indeed it was very clear.
here we go again, after 4 scrubbs, managers are set to resume countdown today, for launch at 4-59am..29-08-09.passing over 18 minutes later, its a early rise, but we are the only country in the world that are able to view this amazing sight
My sister works for NASA and one year while we were in Florida on vacation she secretly took us to a beach on a day when she knew that we would be able to see tugs bringing in one of the two primary booter stages. They are so big compared to what I thought they would be.
11:00 AM EST is GMT +6:00 so it was around 7:30 at their viewing location.
