Moonjacks released three singles. Come On is the best and most remembered. Released 1965 on Decca.

This audio is transfered directly from my vinyl single.

  • Love this so much! :D The melody is top notch. The beginning sure reminds me of the song "Love Not Fade Away" by "The Rolling Stones". Gorgeous tune! :D

  • @KiwiZepFan87 Glad you like like it! :-) Yes, Stones did a cover of Not Fade Away which was written by Buddy Holly, who was quite inspired by Bo Diddley writing that tune. A beat like this is often refered to as a "Bo Diddley beat". :D

  • @Glendoras I checked out Buddy Holly's version of "Not Fade Away" and it was a slower but even better version than what the Stones came up with! :D So cool! :D

  • @KiwiZepFan87 Yes, Buddy Holly was GREAT. He was a great inspiration for bands like Stones and Beatles. So was Bo Diddley. Check out the songs "Hey Bo Diddley", "Mona" and "Bo Diddley" for more "Diddley Beat" :-) ...or why not this link: /watch?v=979rwnVPG4A

    bam-ba-bam-ba-baa :D

  • This isn´t the best of Moonjacks. I have all the singles becouse the long one in white is my Father... :)

  • @funkaraokey Of course, it's a matter of taste.. But it's the single which use to be most popular within garage rock single collectors. Hälsa farsan din att han rockar!

  • @Glendoras Thank you so much for that link!! You made my day!! :D That was some remarkable black and white footage of Bo! Holy Cow! No wonder the guy was an inspiration for folks like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and The Stones. But I have to ask, why on earth do people term Elvis Presley as "the king of rock and roll?!!". Bo Diddley, IMHO, deserved that sort of honour! ;)
