  • im glad theres a kid in the game showing up the adults

  • @ricardorivaldo

thi guy is much better a climber than sharma, who s just a chimp. this is climbing, not sharma's

  • @reybelo

yep...big brand like Red Bull must stay away of uncontaminated places like Glacier National Park and peaks like Cerro Torre...don't know why Lama want to do a foolish thing like that...climb up the compressor route and then, going down with double rope creating a new route shooting spit into the rock (also near the natural handhold)...bha. Stories like that are poisoning the alpine world....(sorry for the bad English!!)

    Michele from Italy.

  • Tell David Lama's Sponsors to Stop their Support of his Bolting Actions on Cerro Torre

  • natural born climber, but still does not have Sharma style.

  • How was this filmed?

  • @thumlyly

    1) yes, his hands could be frozen numb if it's indeed as cold out there as his clothes suggest. This, however, makes it harder to climb

    2) no, the camera-man does not climb. Did you really think the cameraman is a better climber, because he was there before and can keep an eye on the climber whilst, according to you, climbing? Filmcrew are suspended from a rope.

    3) Then some levels of climbing would not yet have been achieved.

  • There is a fine line between enjoying an adrenaline rush and playing Russian roulette. It´s really admirable the climber´s performance, even in the crux he didn´t shake or doubt for a second; however, the ice is much more unpredictable than the rock. This climb has turned a success and I must thank you for the great time I had watching it, but beware to not do solo ice climbing with a "regular" frequency. Remember that the worse enemy of an experienced climber is to have over self-confidence.

  • 1. If he's wearing that many clothes, his hands must be frozen numb.

    2. The camera work imo exceeds the climber by being there before and staying with him the whole way.

    3. What if chalk were forbidden and in fact was not used?

  • I wouldn't do that with 100 ropes!
