i accept the fact of inflation but more players are playing & to a higher standard while ELO is just a reflection of one's strength relative to one's contemporaries Carlsen is demonstrably stronger than the WCC, Anand, than Kramnik who won Kasparov's crown when Kasparov's rating was around 2830 & Kramnik's 2770, than Aronian, his closest rival, who he's younger than by 8 yrs. He was the youngest No.1 & has maintained himself there for ages & i think his Kasparovian rating aged 21 reflects this

you know i am bulgarian and i like how he shows respect for kasparov but i think the chess world got blindsided by carlsen.
