Great character from topolov, not letting people forget who really is "the boss". Actually kasparov WON this super-tournament, (his umpteenth) depite losing this last game.
I remember in 2003 when the so-called "rising stars" in russia started saying(In russian) that gary was a "spent force" and that it was "time for the new generation" to "move on past him"
Gary, clearly angry, amazed everybody by taking part in the 2004 russian championship. He crushed all "the rising stars" and won it easily!

you know i am bulgarian and i like how he shows respect for kasparov but i think the chess world got blindsided by carlsen.

@savannahjoel morphy isnt top 3 why? b /c he didn't play good enough competition and morphy had a weakness in closed positions if im stupid then your retarded. you know nothing about chess
-
@savannahjoel u just called one of the best players ever stupid, i dont think u understand the level of wisdom i posess. I suggested moles were a sign of mental illness then looked up on wikipedia that during the middle ages people thought to be demonically possessed had moles on their bodies. Do u know what kind of mind u need for that? a mind from the stars.

Yes, you have many of the top ten players on this list. But the fact that you do not have Paul Morphy on this list is evidence of your stupidity. Morphy was and will be one of the Immortal Chess Gods. He is the one player, who if alive today, with his incredible photographic memory and pure inate chess instinct, would compete and win against the greatest of today. He probably wouldnt have to but he could study, learn, and memorize modern theory. Morphy is easily top three. Period.

@a552bcx Just watch: /watch?v=QryuMf8qZ0g
He was telling the truth and so he was bullied by the US government and tortured in Japan prison.
this is the way a man should talk about a legend (kasparov) even though he won kasparov but he still says that there will be no any other legends like kasparov. smart speech by topalov. bravo!

It's nice to see Topalov showing deep respect for Kasparov despite beating him in the latter's last game
