Apple is working on a 15" ultra-thin Mac notebook, MacRumors has learned. They aren't certain if it will be called a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, but they do know that it is already in late testing stages at Apple.

  • Get opt trial drive out they make it fat

  • @buddy39914 why so?

  • @intelcore2duo43 coud not have said it better myself. plus, people buy the Pro version because they need all of those ports. Also, if it's thinner it will overheat A LOT more (like if it doesn't already) because there will be no room for fans.

  • if they do that. i will never be buying another apple product again.

  • @2013Sergio That's What I was thinking! If you think about it, MacBook Pro. It is (essentially) for Pro customers like Developers, people in the Music and Video business that NEED the optical drive to burn there finalized product. I can see removing the OD from the consumer line but I don't think it will go over too well for Apple pro customers.

  • This is the EXACT replica of a 13" MacBook Air just 15". MacBook Pro and Air have SSD.

  • There is no doubt in my mind they will go SSD but what processor will apple use? Will the MacBook pro 2012 be better than the 2011 MacBook air in terms of power and storage?

  • I would buy it. But I am happy with my optical drive MacBook Pro. I'm already eliminating the CDs and DVDs from my house!

  • In my opinion if the MacBook Pro goes for the ulta thin look, it ruin the MacBook Pro line. Again it's just my opinion

  • I can't wait! I really hope it does come out this year...tired of waiting for this redesign.
