Miley and Jake were going out, until one day Miley heard that Jake was going to dump her for Rebecca. She was too hurt and ticked off, so she thought she'd beat him to the punch. In reality, Jake was never going to dump Miley in the first place, nor did he have feelings for that girl, Rebecca. Hurt and humiliated, Miley does everything in her power to apologize to Jake and get him back, but he's not pulling in that quickly. He's still bummed about the breakup, and the fact that she'd believe such a horrible rumor. Towards the middle of the video, Miley goes to talk to Jake about the situation, but he's with Rebecca. Now, he doesn't have feelings for her, but he wanted to fight fire with fire, and use Rebecca to get Miley jealous, which ends up crushing her. In the end, they finally talk when Jake comes over, and resolve their differences, terminating in a happy ending.
