  • I love this scene. I used to always watch this movie. I was in 7th grade and lived on the Navajo Reservation in northeastern AZ, so it's obviously very different from Strike's projects-but still a slum with it's own problems-so I thought it was awesome how he sees that "No More Packing" sign-because that looks exactly like where I grew up, in the high desert.

But I know Spike Lee was just trying to show what it meant to Strike.

Still though-it linked the movie from Brooklyn to where I lived.

  • One of my favorite scenes ever.

  • That neighborhood where this was filmed looks suspiciously like Brownsville or Gowanus

  • What's the song playing in the background?

  • Poor fredo, forced to play a guy from brooklyn. I know that must be depressing

  • man strike didnt deserve any of the shit he got in this movie.

  • So someone with troubles where I grew up could take the opposite train ride-get off the rez and go see NYC

  • i love clockers, one of the most under-rated films of all time.

this scene for me shows how there is a better life outside the projects, it made me think alot about my own life - but i didn't live in the projects, i still realise the way society can mould you growing up, and only you can change your self.
