Love how you put this presentation together. Plain & simple with great musical background. Keep up the good work Randy. May write a poem about 'New Years' & link back to this. This is informative in a scholarly way without being 'in your face'! Thanks for this.

I think that's too much. New Year does not mean anything to me, live goes on but a few extra pounds but aren't we living in a world where the devil is the prince? Should we stop using the calendar also because it came from pagan people? God did not call us to stay out of this world but to be a light in it. We will have to stop buying pants because they were invented by a pagan person, or eating chocolate fudge because it was created by a pagan cook. hmmm!

just wait. For those left behind at the Rapture and survive into the Tribulation period with the reign of the antichrist and false prophet. Where the Two Witnesses are allowed to be put death at the end of their minstry by the antichrist, the whole world will celebrate a Satanic Christmas celebrating with the dead bodies out in the street and also exchanging gifts with one another. But they will be resurrected again after 3.5 days to testify to the world about Jesus Christ. Revelation 11:1-13

Thanks for sharing. We have all been at the point where we did not honor God because of ignorance being passed down from generation to generation. Once we learn the truth, it is our decision to follow the truth or continue to indulge in the vain pleasures created by mankind.

Yes please go hide in your churches as you dwindle away and we can finally have our precious Earth back.

Origin has no necessary effect on meaning. If Valentine's Day was invented by Hallmark and had no other history would it mean you love your spouse less when you buy them flowers? If Thanksgiving were established by a president and had no other history would your thankfulness have less meaning? Of course not, so why should the ancient origins of holiday have anything to do with its meaning today? Unless you're planning to make a sacrifice to Janus worrying about it is pointless.
blessedone-The music is beautiful who is this you are playing?

Great question: The first song is Requiem Op. 48 - Offertoire and the 2nd is Requiem Op. 48 - Sanctus.

lol, this is ridiculous! The first 3 1/2 minutes were rather interesting (though they could have been sped up to about 30 seconds and been far more effective). Then it just descended into lunacy.
Why on earth should what/how the Romans or Babylonians celebrated have any effect on our celebrations? It's history & has no bearing on current meaning.
I'm sure you don't have a Christmas tree, condemn to hell all who have fun on Halloween, & ignore all chocolate at Easter, but seriously chill out!

Kalaway, you said, "Why on earth should what/how the Romans or Babylonians celebrated have any effect on our celebrations?" Our New Year's celebration would not even exist if it was not for its Roman or Babylon origin. It effects EVERYTHING.
