LeTigre October 12, 2011 Part 1 Leading and picking up feet.

This is Part 1 of a two part video. Today, I finally was able to remove the neck tag that the Bureau of Land Management put on LeTigre. After that, I spent a while working with leading her and then picking up her feet.

Please bear with me. Her feet are bad. I have contacted several vets and animal control in this area to see if I can get anyone to tranquilize her so that I could get her feet trimmed. They have all told me to put her in a round pen and work her until her feet break off! OMG! That is NOT an acceptable solution to me, so I have just been working on getting her to trust me so that I will be able to trim her feet safely (for her AND me). Now that she has a halter and is accepting me touching her, things should move along much faster. :o)

So happy to see that tag off her neck. Every time she moved I could see it moving and hitting her neck. I know it wasn't hurting her but figured it had to drive her crazy. She's really a beautiful horse. I love her.
