Can you beat the reaction times of a professional racing driver, such as 2009 F1 Champion Jenson Button? Take part in Reaction Race 2011 at Autosport International to find out!
A team of Britain's most promising young racing drivers have pitched themselves against Jenson Button in a test to see who has the fastest reaction times. The drivers, who are on the MSA Team UK driver development programme, took part in Reaction Race 2011 to see if they could beat one of Britain's motorsport heroes.
In 60 seconds, Jenson managed to hit a total of 114 illuminated buttons on a BATAK wall, which has been designed to test and improve reaction times. The MSA Team UK drivers had a go themselves, with British F3 driver James Calado recording the highest score of 112, just missing out on Jenson's total.
Motorsport fans and fitness fanatics can see if they have the reactions of a racing driver at Reaction Race 2011, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on 13-16 January 2011. Reaction Race 2011 will run throughout the four-day show, with the person who sets the highest score each day winning a driving experience at Silverstone. The overall highest scorer during Autosport International will win not only a driving experience, but also a motorsport fitness assessment, the same test taken by professional drivers, courtesy of the Porsche Human Performance Centre, located at Silverstone.
