@matt21669 I use a simple Sony HD Handycam for most every video and I use only the mic on the camera. The main reason I do this is for consistency first and foremost but also because I don't want mic type and placement to be an issue. We record in the same room every time and this keeps our camera/mic placement and our sound environment the same for every video and I don't do any external processing on the audio. This allows each guitar to be better gauged to the next. Hope this helps.
