Asylum Seekers Die As Boat Smashes Off Australia

A small wooden boat loaded with scores of asylum seekers was smashed against rocks on Australia's Christmas Island Wednesday. Dozens perished but more survived, although officials said a few were critically injured. (Dec. 15)
