Probably the best anime soundtrack ever recorded. Music composed by Mitsuo Hagita and Akino Arai. Mostly classical music and other compositions written by brilliant japanese composers.

  • Love this track, love this anime. That one horn tone carried on and on is genius, reflecting with a deft touch the old history, the war. Then the sound effect of that light spell dissolving is great, signifying the past's fading away. It's almost like they've just discussed the creation myth, which they have. But I mean, it's like they've touched on a taboo or like original sin or something, sorta.

Then, their conversation is like a reassurance after discussing that dangerous space: it's all...

  • You're understanding of this music is subliminal!! i feel the same way about all the songs, glad you've enjoyed them.. cheers

  • ooh, I meant to specify that "romance, being very alive and whatnot, and the...origins myth" were the subjects being addressed by this particular scene, not to imply that these three are the only subjects fantasy is suited to handling! sorry.

  • This anime has one of the best storylines i ve ever seen. Just epic!

  • ...all playful and earthy. Deedlit's making a little petulant thing about not understanding humans but she's laughing and sort of flirting. Fantasy is great when it can subtly engage with or juxtapose the myths and the primal psychological stimuli---romance, being very alive and whatnot, and the whole nebulous and forbidding domain of the origins myth. Maybe I'm off my rocker. But I'm surely right saying that this anime truly truly rocks.
