Official Martin McGuinness campaign launch in Dublin

Official Martin McGuinness Presidential campaign launch in Dublin on October 1st. Features singer Deirdre Archibald, artist Robert Ballagh, writer Peter Sheridan and Dublin TD, Mary Lou McDonald as well as the man himself, Martin McGuinness. Also in attendance was singer Frances Black. Launch took place in the Pillar Room of the Rotunda complex on Dublin's Parnell Square.

@cilliangreene believe it or not i wasnt a sinn fein voter until recently. I just see them as a tool we can use to solve some issues that are immediate. I would like to see a new party created that actually stood on the left and worked for the people of the country but as it stands i see only sinn fein in that field .. all the others have led us to disaster ... the lisbon treaty was a perfect sign of who he voter could trust :) ... @kargwain187 im not a labour supporter, but i think michael higgins would be a good choice, he knows what he is doing and he will do a good job for this country, their are some jokes in this election, like dana and mary davis, but i think that higgins would make the best president, anyway we will see on polling day

@cilliangreene I can see your point , up to a point. What I want in a leader is someone who is willing to fight and die for ireland. I want someone who wants what is best for ireland, not the eu. I want someone who doesnt hold money as their god. I want a man who is willing to lead ireland for the irish and if neccasary defend his/her people. Their are people I would vote for before mcguinness but they are not and will not be in any election for president. We need him , not more ultra capitolism

@kargwain187 I dont care about britain and the queen, what i do care about is ireland, Yes the past in some times should be forgotton about. But in other cases the past can reflect a person as themselves.McGuinnes gave the orders to murder someone while hge was in the ira.

To accuse him of malice is silly, any good look at where he comes from would shine a light on that.

The time for division is over , we need to move on from the past into a future together and we cant do that while sections of society are scorned upon by other sections.
