I love a great dual function pedal, especially one as cool as this. In the FuzzBubble-45 you get a monster Fuzz Face with extras and a great old-school overdrive. Appropriately they're named 'Pete' and 'Jimi'. I can assure you both of the sounds that you'd associate with those hallowed names can be found in this pedal.

This is Part 1 of a 3 part series I'll be doing on this mighty purple box. I used my trusty Strat fitted with Mick Brierley's pickups and an Achillies Amplification '59 Bassman. Part 2 will be a more involved look at the 'Jimi' side of the FuzzBubble-45 and Part 3 will be a general look with a Les Paul.

This pedal rocks, make no mistake. Check it out if you can. But don't just take my word for it. There's a great review at Premier Guitar to check out as well - http://www.premierguitar.com/Magazine/Issue/2011/May/Cloud_9_Audio_Analog_Ali...

Cheers and Happy New Year.

  • i love that pedal- i need one ;-)

  • I'm trying to decide on the FuzzBubble or Wilson's Grasshopper? Help

  • Excellent demo of a way cool pedal!

  • @badhandtim Yeah well, if I could I would! A limited budget is a sad thing when you're looking for tone, right?

  • It's been a while since Sadie showed up!

    Awesome demo as usual Burgs!

  • Happy 2011, BK!! Thanks, man. You've helped me with yet another decision!! This pedal is really something!! I hope it's not one of those $400 jobs... :)

  • I must admit that I'm really confused, I was planning on buying both a Catalinbread WIIO to get that Hiwatt spanky sound and a fuzzface clone (MJM London Fuzz) to get a good germanium fuzz. How does this pedal compare to them? I couldn't find out if it was germanium or silicon in the first place. I'm guessing silicon because the fuzz seems a bit harsh.

But it sounds good though, arrrh, this kind of dilemmas aren't good for my sanity, please, help!

  • Yeah ! I agree that is rockin, I like it. You and your daughter make great videos, Happy New Year.
