Man I love my publix I really do but I don't know what thier corperate problem is with NE Florida cause they do not double coupons here---no one does except once Kmart once in a blue moon will have a one day double on coupons. It bites. I have even written to Publix but they didn't really explain the reasoning behind the decision just restated it. Bummer for us.

@sweetdesigninc OMG that does suck. I dont think I would shop there if they didnt double because we have a walmart which of course is cheaper without coupons. I hope you have other options - Food Lion or Kroger or something....

I have a question on coupon tax??? I went to Wallgreens and purchased a razor for 9.99. I had a coupon for 4.00. My total was 5.99. I was charged 7.95% tax a total of .80. That is the tax on the amount of the 9.99. How can Wallgreens charge tax on the full amount??. I checked my CVS reciepts and they only charge a tax on the subtotal after all coupons and cvs bucks. Is this normal??? If it is so, then you really are not getting a better deal at Wallgreens.

@grocerygurus There are other stores and I spread my shopping around to who has what deals but publix has great BOGOs and there coupon policy on BOGOs is nice so I usually shop there often plus it is right across the street. The main thing here is NO DOUBLE COUPONS ANYWHERE, which bites big time. Even if one store would take the initiative and only double one day a week they would have tons of business and wouldn't lose any money but they just don't see it that way. It is aggrivating.
