The Pop legacy of Ennio Morricone!:
In the spirit of the Mutant Disco and Punk Funk movement of the early 80's, Material created this Hip Hop/Morricone hybrid during their "Memory Serves" album sessions. It established the pancultural, mixed genres style that Bill Laswell would take next to Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" and beyond.
Bill Laswell: 4, 6, and 8 string bass
Henry Kaiser: guitar
Robert Musso: guitar
Grand Mixer D. ST.: turntable
Daniel Ponce: percussion
Anton Fier: drums

Awesome, not as good as Morricone's original orchestration (but what else would be?) but Laswell did a good job with this.

I like Laswell and Morricone and have the Memory Serves album but don't remember this tune. I'll have to get it back out and refresh my memory. Apparently, Memory does not always Serve for an old guy. Cheers and Thanks.
