@ShurikenG See, nothing but straight shooting is exactly what I want from a GUN :P I love Beam Rifle.

@adrius -- but not assault rifle. When I heard they were doing beam rifle I assumed they were gonna add some different unique attack but it was all straight forward shooting. Only neat thing about it is the disintegrate, which I can't complain, it's a good power.

@adrius I completely agree. Still, the thing I hate about the forums for City of heroes, you suggest changes to a power set and people freak out. Assault rifle is not a true Assault rifle. They need to either change the name and make a hole new set, or at least update the set's animations. I mean, what I don't get is, Beam rifle is just plain shooting. Have you seen it? It's a charged up shot here or there but just plain shooting. Why is it that they can do that with all the other gun sets --

@ShurikenG there is no assault rifle in champs. There's munitions, which is "pull any weapon I can think of out of my ass". So far, I've been sorely let down by ALL THREE superhero MMOs when it comes to AR. In CoH, it's a frankengun, in CO, it's one power amongst many in Munitions, in DCUO, it turns into a Grenade Launcher once you get that power. The only time it's been done right is the Wolf Spider, which is just bullets and grenades.

@adrius Champs...Champs is more flash than anything. It's all about flashy powersets honestly. City of heroes is machinically better like you said. It's far more balanced than champs. Thing I found funny though, assault rifle on COH is just like any other powerset. Assault rifle on Champs is EXTREMELY overpowered. A friend and I played the game for a month, we were complete noobs to it yet he owned just about everyone he came across with that set.

@silvarknite7 (continued) going on. It's gritty, it takes itself seriously, there's SO MUCH MORE diversity of gameplay than DCUO. Like, my videos barely scratch the surface of what can happen in this game, it isn't even a fair representation. I suggest picking it up, it's an amazingly fun game.

@silvarknite7 DCUO is HALF of a very good game. Coming from CoH, it's a bit infuriating. CoH beats it hands down. It's graphics pale compared to DCUO, but it has just.. way the hell more of everything, and a whole lot that DCUO just doesn't have. It's sad really, since I love DC. CO is a fun game. I like it a lot but CoH is mechanically a better game. CO is a lot more campy, while CoH takes itself dead serious. It's less a comic book game, and more a modern world with metahuman wars (space).
