  • @DXdu26 it's called a power snatch because there's no/not much of a drop in the catch. Similar like a power clean is where the catch his high or quite high (like legs don't bend more than 30%). The movement in the lift is like a jump whether the feat leave the ground or not in both the snatch and the power snatch and in the clean and power clean.
