Don't civil servants pay into their pension fund? i agree the terms of these public funds are ridiculous but most are structured off very old ideas of government and companies taking care of workers throughout life. It's unsustainable after a while and becomes impossible to keep up but they do pay into these plans, don't they? It's not just given to them, is it?

@aikitherese Did you know that a large sum of self made millionaires actually were once teachers and self employed people? NOT doctors and lawyers.. It's a funny fact but true.

Talk about government waste ! There is such large amounts of money being wasted and it's the people whom (like my hubby & I) who work everyday that will have to pay through taxes to pay for that over amount used for NOTHING! I just when Lover Rants LOL :) it's true.

I understand the rant...but I know a lot of teachers personally. The vast of majority of them are very dedicated and really, are not exactly rich by the end of their careers. It's a really hard job especially for the lower grades. There's definitely government waste for sure, but I have a real appreciation for good teachers, especially in poor districts like ours. Love to you all!

Same thing at major corporations from Boeing to healthcare organizations. There is no incentive for individuals to perform! I am sick to death of it too!

Not to mention politicians just on your local level get free health care and vote for their own raises that they get every year. Crazy! Love the rants, but watch the heart issue.
