Grammy Award-winning musician Ani DiFranco gives her thoughts on illegal file-sharing.
-----
With artistic integrity and a sincere connection to her audience, Ani DiFranco has become one of music's most prolific performers by sheer force of will. A pioneer in the independent label movement, DiFranco founded her own record company Righteous Babe Records in 1989 at the age of eighteen.
By that time the singer/songwriter was already a seasoned troubadour whose live performances established her distinctive style: rapid fingerpicking, alternate tunings, and emotive lyrics that boldly confront contemporary social and political issues. Righteous Babe has issued all twenty-one of DiFranco's full-length studio albums, including the live recording Living in Clip and the recent Reprieve.
Her career retrospective Canon contains three-dozen songs from DiFranco's expansive catalog, spanning the years 1990-2006. In Fall 2007, Righteous Babe Records and Seven Stories Press published Ani DiFranco: Verses, a collection of original poetry and paintings - City Arts & Lectures

I thought it was very evenhanded. I expect she's thought about it quite a bit since if someone cuts your paycheck by a significant percentage you tend to notice.

You really have a reading problem "dude" people don't share waves or flac's regulary, and at no point did I connect audiophiles to most people either IDIOT

@nvrsaynvr12 Just because most people who aren't into it don't know about sound quality doesn't make your first inane statement any less wrong. If you're trying to make a point why not try and be credible. Any audiophile does not equal most people. In fact, they are the opposite of most people, and in fact they are the type of person that would best understand lossless and high-quality lossy compression. Read what you write and look at the flow of logic.

@nvrsaynvr12 Dude, you are ridiculously misinformed. How can you seriously say "any audiophile" when any audiophile knows the reality is the exact opposite of what you are saying? DERP LOSSLESS MEANS NO DATA LOST DERP STFU you IDIOT
