So the Tele still has an inherent 60 cycle hum. And if you crank this Music Man 112RD Fifty watt beastie with a nasty Zvex Fuzz Probe, it's god awful. So it's time for an ISP Decimator Noise Reduction pedal. Gate away!

  • What's the difference between the isp decimator and the isp decimator g-string?

  • The regular Decimator has Guitar in-out, while the G has that and decimator in&out as well. The extra "decimator in/out" is for what you would put in an amp's effect loop. Pedals that alter your guitar sound (tremolo, phasers, compressor/sustainers vibes, flangers, overdrive/distortions, etc) you put in front of the decimator, in the loop. Delay, reverb, echo (pedals that "add sounds to your original guitar sound") etc. you put after the decimator (after the "guitar out") in front of the amp.

  • @Jahnli I see, thank you, and do u think the isp decimator would work well with a semi hollow body guitar?

  • @delpimpo yes, the ISP will kill feedback from a semi or hollowbody.

  • Can the fuzz still oscillate when the decimator is on? And also, I have a fuzz factory and it picks up FM radio when you turn the volume all the way off on the guitar but yet the pedal itself is still on. Does that happen with the fuzz probe also? And if it does, does the ISP pedal cancel it out?

  • Yes, all the functions of the Probe still do their thing, including oscillations and other freakouts. Unfortunately if you get an FM signal telling you the weather through the pedal, that counts as a signal so the ISP won't stop it (unless you gate it hard enough to totally stop signals short of massive overpowering note making louder than the radio). That FM interference doesn't happen with my fuzz probe, so if yours does i'd have it checked out.
