This is a animation of the small prototype model, there is a bigger engine under construction with the same drive mechanism, but with 4 inlets and 4 outlets, having the explosion forces balanced as well.

  • Very nice mechanism. Well thought out. Structurally sound. I love it. How do you seal the high pressure gasses between the port in the cylinder head and the I.D. of the outer housing?

  • @DJHale68 :Thanks , you know i like yours too.

Yes, SEALING the cylinder head ports is the big challenge.

In the waste-prototype, i used seals while running on two stroke fuel.

Now i'm building a bigger engine with lubricated mechanical seal springs.

How is your water cooled version project ?

PS : I hope you don't mind me calling your rotary the brother in my portal website. I consider the bi-rotary "Mawen"-Engine as the father and the bi-rotary "Siemens-Halske Sh.III" as the grand father.

  • Have you made a working engine yet, or is this just a design concept? I'm actually very interested.

  • @KniteWulf

I have a radial engine with the same balanced drive mechanism.

This Bi-rotaries are in development and test phase

  • awesome design very elegant design

  • how do you seal the outer housing

  • What would the dimensions of the block itself be if I wanted 100 horsepower? Email me on this account

  • can you axplain why it is more efficient and has low emissions?

  • Men, one of the best ideas i have ever seen .Really simple and great, good job

  • GREAT WORK, LIKE THAT YOU'RE ON TOO SOME GOOD DESIGN FEATURES. WHATS THE LOWEST INTERNAL CRANK RPM'S YOU HAVE MANAGED. ;- ) WHERE YOU LOCATED? I'M ON FACEBOOK ALSO Thomas Hayley LIVE IN LINDALE,TX FROM TYLER,TX.

  • @frankydevaere :The water cooled version is coming along slowly. About 3/4 of the parts are done now. Then, of course comes fit-up and assembly, first run and carburetion, cooling evaluation, etc., etc. It, by the way, is an 8 cyl. engine -2 rows of four cyls. I did that both to increase the displacement without increasing the diameter, and to get overlap of the torque impulses. With water cooling I can make a two row engine.

PS : You can call my engine anything, brother, cousin, uncle, whatev
