I have this DVD. It came from a book I bought at Barnes&Nobles about Fender guitars. AWESOME BOOK AND DVD! Buy it! It was like $21.99 (I think).

What the hell is going on at 2:47 ? It LOOKS like he is doing some kind of natural harmonic (tapping the fret) after hitting the string with his pinky? OR is he is hitting with the pinky and then doing a "pinch harmonic" type deal with his thumb?

@JustSomeRandomNewb Nope.... if you look at all the gizmos on the market that are designed to improve the transfer of the string energy to the guitar neck/body, it's apparent most experts agree it's all about the energy exchange with the body. But I'll add that it's EXCHANGE, not transfer. Meaning the strings and body symbiotically RESONATE and that's really what keeps the string ringing longer. Peace.
