This video takes the information from the Boy Scouts of America's Ineligible Volunteer Files (Perversion Files) as posted at the LA Times (http://spreadsheets.latimes.com/boysc...) and maps them over time (1947-2004) using a modified version of Corey Chiver's R code (http://bayesianbiologist.com/2012/08/...). Locations are approximate and exclude those files reported in Alaska, Hawaii, and non-US countries (along with those that are missing locations in the database). New accusations each year are marked in red. Past accusations are marked in black. The plot in the lower left counts all 5,431 accusations from 1947-2004 throughout the world. Note, this count includes some duplicates when a single individual was affiliated with more than one troop or unit.
