@ArchaicReality Dear ArchaicREality, I could think of three possible issues: a) The dock is not giving the right route to the program, close the dock and then run it again. b) A Photoshop direct icon should've installed on the desktop while installation process, If not, create it by following the route: menu/Wine/Programs/AdobePhotoshop/Photoshop CS5 right click on this last one, and select "Add this launcher to the desktop" c) If still not working, the problem may reside on Wine, reinstall it
@kraka7oa I downloaded cs5 and all the things are in position but when I click on the icon for cs5, it doesnt open. I have it on my dock but all it does is flash. I have the permissions for it to open and everything. any ideas?
@NoChannelAvailable Sorry my fault! In order to be able to install it correctly, you must give the proper permission to your *.exe file! Do this, by right-clicking on it, select "Properties" and then the "Permissions" tab. There in Execution, Click on "Allow file to execute as a program" Go on as you already know. Your problem will be solved.
@NoChannelAvailable Please uninstall Wine first, and then reinstall it using "the Ubuntu Software Center" or even better "Ubuntu Tweak" to obtain the very latest version of Wine. Then right click on the downloaded Photoshop zip file and select "extract here". Once you get the resulting folder, open it and right click on the *.exe file choosing "Open it with Wine file charger". The installation will automatically start, creating the direct access icon on your desktop. Best...
When i click the Photoshop file to open, It says the file type is not supported. I have downloaded wine, extracted the files to the same place, But i still can't.

Works great on Windows, some issues on Ubuntu, but not so serious. Thanks so much for helping me on my studies. Suscribed!
