'09 AHRMA Daytona highside crash

This is footage of Monday's BEARS/350 GP race. I was following Eric Pritchard (a 350 GP rider) into the International Horseshoe when he violently highsided (is there any other kind?). His bike suffered a little more than he did, as he walked away with (relatively) minor injuries.

so how'd it happen? chopped the throttle? quickly change steering?

Eric's tranny/rear end locked up. If you look closely, you can see his rear tire begins to leave a black mark WAY before he reaches for the rear brake or enters the turn.

Wow, you guys are rough - I though I did well just to not run Eric over. :)

I have been having trouble with the Intl Horseshoe since they reconfigured it. Whenever I try to go straight to the apex, I seem to run outta room on the exit. Crap.

I'm using a Scientifie Oregon ATC-2k camera. Not the best quality, but pretty good for the price. Lots of mounting options, easy to use.

oh dang yeah, i didnt notice that! how does the rear lock up like that?

been looking at a lot of crash analysis so i'm well prepared if something like this happens to me.

stan- stop target fixating! If you had been headed for the apex unlike eric- you would have been clear of this debacle!
