Guests: Michelle Foss, Ph.D., Chief Energy Economist, University of Texas; Donald Van Nieuwenhuise, Ph.D., Director, Petroleum Geoscience Programs, University of Houston; Jeffrey Wozniak, Ph.D., Research Fellow, Texas Research Institute for Environmental Studies, Sam Houston State University; original broadcast date June 18, 2010.

  • Of course the oil still flows. It's under pressure, and once the mantle has been broken, there is nothing to stop it miles underwater. The heavier oil will hug the ocean floor adversely effecting coral reefs.
