how much does one of the sankyo cost?
-
@iheartseptimusheap the way you position it is irrelevant to the sound produced. most band instructors are misinformed about this and call it bad posture. the main reason instructors want it parallel is for uniformity in the band line (if flutes are sitting together or marching) but freelance or solo, position is completely up to the player.

@ninaflute Hi Nina!
What Telemann piece is that?
And since this is the video of the wooden flute; do you think it would project in an orchestra? o:
-
Out of style with vibrato and bad quality sound.
-

This piece got me into a youth orchestra!
Beautiful! It's the best video/audio I ever listened for the fantasy no. 7 from Telemann, but it's a pity the video is not complete :(

Hello Nina! I have a question. What differences did you notice in this flute vs. your normal steel flute in terms of sound??? Also, what song are you playing??

@DumbledorezArmy I am playing Telemann. The wood flute is warm and round and sounds more like a Baroque wood flute rather than the silver or gold of modern flutes (not steel).
