The Lula Washington Dance Theatre (LWDT) is a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Arts organization that was founded in 1980 by Lula and Erwin Washington to provide a creative outlet for dance artists in Los Angeles. The foundation is made up of inter-related parts: the School, Youth Dance Ensemble and the professional dance company (Lula Washington Dance Theatre).
