how is it poor bowling? Hughes has proven he cannot handle the short ball. hes even been dropped because of it.

That's such poor bowling.
Those short balls aren't threatening and aren't going to trouble anyone. Pitch them up occasionally or bowl a proper short ball. That over was straight up and down and Hughes had no trouble.
