The Pet Shop Boys are the soundtrack of my youth. This song in particular is somehow the quintessence of a good pop tune. It´s mellow and so optimistic at the same time

It's SO poignant when Neil says "Faces were disappearing by my 1990's".. (That's when MY fave vocalist ever, Freddie Mercury, was lost to this terrible disease, AIDs, Neil is singing of). Back then , my gay friends, reasoned, "We can't get pregnant!"-- so, why use "protection"... now, we all know why- - and, alas, we ALL have to be " Boring," gay ( a friend), straight (me), or, "bi" -- whatever. Be monogomous,etc. But, boring can be good-- if , as Queen sang U "Keep Yourself Alive".
