In 1983 my dad, his wife, my younger sister and her friend, all saw what Laney described as "serpentine" - a creature "swimming" alongside and ahead of our boat at 20 to 25 mph. It had undulating "humps" and would submerge and resurface. My dad's no quack, certainly, and swears to his death it really happened. A year later, he saw it again with his wife in Mac Alley (we had a place on Wildhorse Island) from the mainland docks off of Melita Island road.
Hey, we were at Flathead Lake in 1972 in the summer but a swarm of yellowjackets at a picnic site persuaded us to leave the area, so we left. They just kind of warned us to leave. There were about 600,000 of them at least, or one for every person in the city of Denver or the state of Wyoming!
