  • Who's singing Isolde??

  • Oh yes, THIS production. Was anyone else there when it returned to the met with these two singers...and at the end of Act I, Jane couldn't keep the crown on her head.... and the public was roaring with laughter? Yeh, Fast Curtain. Then at the end of this same evening, finale Act II the curtain came down ON Jane. No one could contain the laughter. Friends of mine in the orchestra were wondering what was actually going on "up there" with all of this laughing. I didn't stay for Act III.

    for könig Marke try Martti Talvela oder Matti Salminen ;)

  • Am I hearing this wrong, or is the normally fantastic Herr Pape really quite flat in places? What does anyone else think?
