functions of lub oil are:

-rejects heat i.e. serves as cooling agent
-cleans abrasive particles
-reinforces sealing of combustion chember(reduces blowby)
-helps cusion the shock on journals-bearings

  • I want that transparent engine

  • @b21b61 he should also check to see if the cooling system is bleed right at the engine. also needs to check that the fan is working correctly.

  • most of d lubrication stuff is been explained very precisely in this particular video, it was very helpful thanx a lot.

  • Classic but still the fundamental basics.

  • This video has been very helpful,

  • thats a clear cut of an engine thanks

  • @batterez - Changing oil often is merely donating consumers money to the Big Oil industry, tossing out good oil, increasing the burden on the environment and wasting money. The 3,000 mile drain pain was from the 1960's, 50 years ago now. Oils and engines have come a long way in 50 years. Check out the 409k Mile Oil Change video at my channel. Enjoy. :) If you have any questions, feel free to message me. Have a super day! :)

  • Only idiots and women believe that 3,000 miles should be the right mileage to change the oil or they go wayyy toooo over the limit.

On my BMW, I change it every 15,000 miles; my Hyundai Sonata and Honda Prelude, every 7,500 miles.

  • this is like those sex education videos kids would watch in school in 4th grade except the quality is better and the narrator sounds more excited
