Red Star Pilots Association
March Meet @ Flying W Airport
Lumberton, New Jersey
Sunday March 22, 2009
IN THIS VIDEO, you will see activity at the Flying W Airport on Sunday - the final day of the Red Star Pilots Association fly-in. The video here shows airport activity using Runway 19 as the active runway, and you will see a lot of movements with the Red Star pilots and their Yak-52s and CJ-6As, a pair of bi-planes that visited the Flying W, as well as some general aviation movements. This video was shot after my flight in a Nanchang CJ-6A.
Oh yeah - you will also get to see some airshow-like movements in this video. Two CJ-6As make a formation takeoff, followed by a low pass down the runway, with Tim Stevens trailing them in his Yak-52.
Once again, I would like to acknowledge all of the pilots of the Red Star Pilots Association for their kindness, hospitality, and assistance in making all of the videos from that weekend possible.
Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

Thanks. At first I thought that it was an Extra 300, but then I saw the flaps and then realized that it wasn't and Extra 300.
