Richard Hardman of Pontefract Kettlebells practices for The Heavy Kettlebell Challenge. In this video he is using a pair of 28kg bells.

The Kettlebell Challenge consists of 5 x double swings, 5 x double clean and 5 x double clean and jerk with kettlebells totalling 50% of bodyweight for women, 66 - 70% for men. Unfortunately for Richard he is a rather heavy lad and 70% of his bodyweight will mean completing the challenge with a pair of 44kg!

Please post a video response if you can complete the challenge yourself - or will it just be a show of Yorkshire strength again? We already have 2 girls ready to go with double 20kg and several men with double 32's!

  • Hi mate, if you're 80kg you should be looking at 28kg bells. Send me across a copy of your circuit, its always good to see what others are doing. Thanks, Liam.

  • ok, so Im 80 kgs, I think that makes 56 kgs, 2x28. Do I have to go for the 24's or 32's? I gotta buy them first but I do loads of reps with lighter weights in a circuit that lasts an hour. If you wana know my circuit and see in you or any of your clients think of it let me know. Its Naaaaaasty!!!
