On August 3, 1997 An isolated severe thunderstorm developed northwest of Waukesha, WI and strengthened as it moved southeast toward the southern side of Waukesha, Big Bend and Muskego. This storm produced wind damage across Muskego Lake from an apparent microburst. Note the visibility decreasing as the Microburst develops and hits the ground. This storm did have supercell characteristics noted by a distinct lowered updraft base, resembling the "War of the Worlds" alien ship. The lowered base did not have any signs of low-level rotation.
