We have a 4 month old Border Collie who is just now starting to figure out to stand by the door to go to potty, but we dont always see him. So this bell thing will work out great. Thanks!

@RebeccaHarkness that is so awesome! i am going to do that with my puppy. i have only had her a few days and she is already picking up on what it means to "go out". i am sure she will pick this up quickly! :)

Ever time we went outside to the bathroom I lifted his little paw and rang the bell and said "gotta go potty?" Then we went outside and when he went I said "good potty!" It took several weeks of helping him to ring it until one day he walked up to it and rang it all by hisself.
He still does it to this day and it's so great. He tells me when he has to go instead of me watching the clock making sure to take him out.

has he ever done accidents ,and does he go potty when yur not home, where do you put him?

He had accidetns when he was a puppy but not anymore. When I'm not home he sleeps under my covers in my bed.
