As an original co-sponsor, I took part in a press conference Wednesday (Oct. 5th) where Reps. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Jim Costa (D-CA) announced the introduction of bipartisan legislation to reform the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). The RFS mandates that 36 billion gallons of renewable fuels be in our nation's fuel supply. This mandate is being fulfilled by grain ethanol that comes from corn. This means that an ever increasing amount of corn, which could be used for food and feed for livestock, is being diverted into fuel.

  • Big Oil dictates our energy policy, who's kidding who? Less corn based fuel = more oil used = more profits for big oil.

Viewers should look at open secrets site and see what this guy has gotten from big oil, big banks, big insurance..... he's not fooling anyone. He's is bought and paid for.
