How to make Halo Halo, a refreshing dessert in the Philippines. Usually eaten in Summer, but it can be made anytime of the year.
Simple Syrup:
Water
Sugar (Usually brown sugar.)
Ingredients:
For the Bottom
Bananas or Musa Saba (Cooked in simple syrup.) - diced
Nata de Coco (Coconut gel, white)
Gulaman (Unflavored Jelly) - Any color you'd like.
Kamote (Sweet Potato) - diced
Sago (Tapioca balls) - any color
Corn (Kernel)
Buko (Young Coconut) - Strips
Jackfruit (Cooked in simple syrup) - Strips
Sugar - 1 1/2 Tbsp.
On top
Evaporated Milk - 1 tbsp. (You don't need a lot.)
Ube (Purple Yam)
Leche Flan (Flan or any custard)
Pinipig (Rice Krispies or Crushed Young Rice)
Other Ingredients that may be added but we didn't have:
Sweet Red Beans
Sweet White Beans
Cantaloupe - Strips
Sugar Palm fruit
Ice Cream! (On top of the Halo Halo) - Any flavor you'd like.

I like how you girls presented this recipe! Very easy to understand and beautiful concoction! I also like that the girl on my left, your right held back her hair so that it wouldn't ge into the ingredients! Smart girl!
