Colombo Chief Magistrate Macky Mohammed criticized the police report submitted to the court today by Cinnamon Gardens police station on the trespassing of Minister of Labor Mervin Silva into the premises of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) and intimidating the SLRC News Director.

Ordering to arrest all those connected with the incident, the Magistrate said that the judiciary is not ready to assume a sheer report on the incident the entire nation viewed yesterday.

Commenting on the B report submitted by SI Sarath, Sergeant Ranasinghe and Anura Wijesinghe under case no: 9413/1, the Magistrate said that the courts could not satisfy on the police action over the threatening, intimidation and obstructing incidents.

He said that higher officials responsible to public service could not be allowed to face similar situations. The Magistrate said that he would visit the suspect at the hospital and come to a decision.

The Magistrate ordered to produce all suspects and reports in courts on January 11 and asked all responsible police officials to appear in courts on that day.

The Magistrate later visited the suspect at the national hospital and remanded him until January 11.
