KDE is cool, but why all application on KDE start with character "K" ??

i hope they will work on the look and feel of the notifications.
i dont like how jittery they are, when you close tab, or when something (dis)appears.
but its not a final release, so i've got my hope up!

If you don't want notifications for a certain program you can usually just go into the apps custom settings.

i like it! it's more convenient and elegant knotify than in version 4.4!

@cumulus0007 Suppose you get a notification but you're away from your computer or you're engrossed in something else and don't have time or whatever to look at the notification. It's nice to have an easily accessible history of notifications.

@cumulus0007 For Kopete, say you missed a message someone sent. It'll show you with the recent notifications feature. There are a few more uses similar to this. However you're right; for the most part it's cluttered and useless. 95% of the time I don't even need it, and it's annoying. I'd rather see that feature disappear.

I like them. I'm really getting tired of my current notifications.. I'm using 4.4.2 I think. It has the recent notification thing, which REALLY gets in the way and is annoying. The feature has some use sometimes, but it keeps the notifications I don't want or need to keep... Thus removing it's usefulness. Did they remove that feature?

I can see a couple of use cases for this, especially with KDE adding more social network interactions and semantic desktop features.
It's KDE, you don't have to have any notifications popping up at all if you don't want. You are in control.

Nice. The current way the history of notifications are displayed is terrible.
