Nice bikes but at the current price not gonna happen for me. I love the idea but until battery prices come down and these become more mass produced they are out of the reach of me. When they get down to $7k for a new one all I can do is dream.

@notingXworks and zeromotorcycles. com/zero-mx/specs.php the specs on one of these bikes. 23hp a crf450r has 50hp.. ide love to have one of these bikes tho, i bet i could ride it in a city and people wont not care.

@tool5150 i have ridden one of these bikes since i made that comment. there built more like a moutain bike that a motocross bike. much smaller over all shorter wheel base, smaller shocks. shorter suspension travel. but the power delivery is instant . but i dout it will take the betting a true motocross bike takes in a hour long motocross race. or a day in the dunes hucking some huge air and crashes like my bikes.

I've been riding gas motox bikes for over 20 years.I love the idea of being able to ride anywhere and not piss of my neighbors With my gas bike I have to drive far away to a track everytime I want to ride. With an electric bike, I can ride on the land behind my house now with no sound and my neighbors won't call the cops on me. Can't wait for the 3rd and 4th generation on these bad ass bikes. 30+ hp, 140lb weight, intant torque!! No loud annoying sounds. can't wait!!

You are right, you have completly understand the philosophy of the Quantya.
If you have the opportunity go to try it, may be you don't have to wait the 3rd or 4th generation...
