Wow! The Emotional recall is fantastic. I "Went" and I "Lemonwheeled" and this just has brought me such incredible memories and a feeling of youth. At each festival I remember scanning the horizon and the crowd at some point just around sunset and thinking, "I am almost in the freaking tundra, as far north as I have ever been in my life, in the middle of a field watching something that will never, ever happen again in my lifetime. Oh! OH!! Youth!!!. . . oh . . . PHiSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the show was better at Lemonwheel and the crowd was a little cooler at the Went. The Went shows tended to go into long funk jams and by the Lemonwheel the secret was out and Phish was no longer you and a few thousand friends it was millions. Either way they were both some of the most wonderful times of my life that I got to share with dear friends, and Phish played too.

lemonwheel was a great time, as was all of the phish festies, they really go balls to the wall and give you your moneys worth, just in attractions, then you get the music too!

We rode a 1978Yamaha XS 1100 from LaCrosse, Wi to get there.  Totally worth it.

Whenever I see anyone in a tent, I think of THE GREAT WENT the year before...I remember It POURED rain the first night and my buddy woke up soaking in a foot of water... We were all dry in the truck...ha - his truck...lol- he wouldn't wake up, so we left him there to blow bubbles.
