This is a 2004 Nissan Maxima. Resonator delete, replace with electric cutout. everything else stock behind the cutout. With the cutout disengaged its just as quiet as if i didn't do anything to it.

sorry guys the video does not do it justice, not in the least bit. the crackles seem to be amplified, and the tone is distorted, and the camera just plan does not pick up on the richness. it sounds like a modded up early 70's muscle car in person. NO cheep ricey bees in a can sound. in all it worked out just the way i wanted it.

lots of power gains, you can see i have to lay off the throttle a little to prevent burning out all the way down the street..

  • Yo whats your username on Maxima.org... i;m trying to find out how you did this.

  • @musiqchild143 twentyeggs

  • oh and i have never gotten an check engine light

  • its a automatic with tiptronic, and i've done some stop watch 0-60 times. with it cutout open i do get some performance gains. not nearly as much as i would get with a tune.. but that is next... I also saw better gas mileage. which is weird, i was expecting to loose some. but this is only true on the highway, in the city i lose mpg.

i have since relocated my cutout and did a custom y pipe.. and it sounds even better. a lot better actually. i will have to video it and post it up.

  • Wow! Sounds gorgeous. and i love the fact that you can change back to stock. Can you please make a list of things to buy for this setup? I have the same exact car except 6-speed. Thanks.

  • @ruiz2728

i have a thread in maxima.org that explains the whole process including part numbers and online website (summit racing)
