As we have contributed all 8 parts for Eric Whitacre's record-breaking Virtual Choir 2011 project, we thought it's a good idea to play with the song a little more and mix our parts into a small multitrack (first multitrack ever)...

A few tracks were not submitted for the official project due to they have been recorded after deadline with the purpose of filling a couple of respirations in the originals for a more constant sound...

we humbly present you the result.

  • awesome!

  • Yeah this was pretty sweet. I remember getting that same fever when Eric first got the idea for a Virtual Choir. Alas, my attempt wasn't as good as a lot of the ones I've seen lately.

  • Both audio and video was recorded by Canon LEGRIA HF S10 (a HD camcorder with external mic option). Mic used was an entry-level Audiotechnica AT 2020.

Audio was mixed in Ardour, video tracks in Cinelerra, ffmpeg and avidemux were the tools for video conversions and audio+video assembly. All running on my notebook (Core2 duo 1.5G (scaled down to 1G to reduce fan noise to minimum) w/ 4G RAM) running gentoo linux...

For the benchmark fans: video rendering of the 14 tracks: ~1.2h, audio: ~3m.
