Hmmghh...I wonder if the WTC designers considered what would happen if someone hijacked the space shuttle, changed the trajectory and launched it fully loaded with rocket fuel into the WTC towers ? ? ?

I would imagine that even though NASA hadn't even landed on the moon, at that time, surely, these designers must have factored this in ? ? ?

Additionally...Large commercial jets are also prohibited in certain airspace, so believe me, the WTC deigners were not considering...I wonder what would happen if a fully fueled widebody 767 Jumbo jet smashed into these towers.

Groundbreaking for WTC was in 1966 and the first tower was completed in 1970; the design began in the early 60's, as planning & engineering takes years for a project of that magnatude. In other words, the planes that they knew of were from the 1950's and 60's vintage; that is what the designers had in mind.

...Video says they designed the WTC to withstand a plane hitting it. This is true, but the plane they had in mind was a jet from the 50's/60's; NOT a Jumbo Jet loaded with 60K Gallons of Fuel.

Plus to be frank...I think 911 was the first time in history that anyone flew a jumbo-jet into a steel and glass skyscraper that, btw, was one of the tallest buildings in the world.
