Reciclamais South American Expo 2009

The Reciclamais South American Expo showed that the global economic crisis might be benefiting the Brazilian aftermarket.
Held in São Paulo July 6-9, the eighth edition of the Reciclamais South American Expo is the biggest event of its kind in South America.
The overall feel of the Reciclamais South American Expo was of new and positive business being generated and widespread optimism about the South American aftermarket.
Numbers were strong at the show, with nearly 80 exhibitors and 6,500 visitors. The event, which has grown every year, had over 1,200 different attendees at the conferences, with an average of 100 attendees per lecture.
The numbers at Reciclamais South American Expo reflect the outlook of the sector in the country that still has great growth potential. According to the Brazilian Association for the Reconditioning of Printer Cartridges (Abreci), the countrys aftermarket has 9,500 companies employing 95,000 people.
Reciclamais Magazine followed the expo with a record print run of 13,000 in its post-show edition.
The Reciclamais South American Expo 2010 will be held June 8-10 in São Paulo.
