I can't remember the exact percentage (thought 80-20), but what I do know is that only your toes and ball of the foot should touch the ground. In essence it's a very long neko ashi dachi.
@minikakathekakadue please learn something about karate.first Polikariolis showd why it is OSU! second thing styles are not different just becuse of their katas...they are different bcs there are very big number of stances....in Kyokushin You have stances from okinawan goju ryu...in shotokan you have stances from shorin ryu..etc..everything goes from okinawan styles(shuri-te, naha-te and tomari te, now they are shorin ryu(shorinji ryu) uechi ryu and goju ryu(and some new styles made from those 3
@minikakathekakadue it's OSU.. in japanese words can't end in "s,k,m,p,r,v..." it just sounds like oss cause in many cases the u in the end of the word is almost silent.. (like in "desu" which means "am/are" you may hear it with or without the u.. but in any case you always write it.. there is no way arround..) search for "the spirit of osu". btw thanks for your reply. OSU
